Poll: Opposition To Question 1 Growing
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
It appears opposition to
Question 1 - a proposed repeal of the state income tax and capital gains tax in Massachusetts - is gaining some steam, according to a new poll.
The latest
Survey USA shows 44-percent are certain to vote "no" on Question 1, while 28-percent say they're certain to vote "yes".
In an identical poll
three weeks ago, 34-percent were certain to vote no, 31-were certain to vote yes.
But - 28-percent are still "not certain" just 20 days before Election Day. (35-percent were not certain three weeks ago)
Of that 28-percent that are still uncertain how they'll vote, nearly half (48-percent) of them say they're leaning towards "no." 35-percent are leaning towards "yes."
Researchers found Republicans and conservatives strongly back Question 1, while women, Democrats, liberals, and college graduates strongly oppose it.
Survey USA spoke to 624 registered voters who are likely to vote on Election Day for the poll.
