School Put Into Lockdown After Raccoon Attacks

BOSTON (WBZ) ― A bizarre set of circumstances involving a wild animal forced a Swampscott school into lockdown Tuesday afternoon.
A crossing guard was bitten by a raccoon at the Clarke School on Norfolk Avenue. The school was put into lockdown until police could catch the animal and put it down.

The crossing guard was treated and the raccoon is being tested for rabies.
