Two Men Wanted For 7 Rockland Robberies
ROCKLAND (WBZ) ―
Police are looking for two men who have been breaking into stores in Rockland.
According to police, the suspects, who were caught on surveillance tape with their shirts wrapped around their heads, hit seven stores in four days. "I think these are local kids, and they haven't covered their tracks really well," said Rockland Police Det. Paul Donnelly.
In fact, Donnelly said the suspects did not put a whole lot of thought into the robberies at all.
Police say the suspects use a large object, or a baseball bat to break through the front door of the stores. Once inside, they spend less than one minute grabbing cash from the register and cigarettes from behind the store's counter. "They shattered the door and they had taken out
about $200," said shop owner Lisa Brennan.
"They basically had a crobar and hit the door about six or seven times," said store owner Matt Rossi.
Anyone with information about these robberies or the suspects involved are asked to call Rockland police at 781-871-3890.
