Arson investigators are looking into a series of suspicious fires in Roslindale. One of them was a large truck fire early Wednesday morning.
The truck was parked on Poplar Street when someone burned it around 1 a.m.
Around the same time, there were two other suspicious fires - one in a dumpster on nearby Cummins Highway and another in an alley in Roslindale Square on Birch Street that spread to a nearby building.
No one was hurt. However, it's estimated that the fires have done thousands of dollars worth of damage.
The Boston Fire Dept. Arson Squad is also investigating several rubbish fires in Roslindale Square early Monday morning, totaling about 6 fires within 24 hours of each other. Business owners have been put on edge by the spur of fires.
Police are checking surveillance cameras and speaking with the fire victims to help determine who is responsible for the alleged arson fires.
"I'm just curious what would get into someone's mind that they would do this," said local business owner Sara Haik.
Business owners had to deal with no phone service or power on Wednesday as crews worked to repair damaged lines.
