Truck Crash, Fuel Spill Creates 128 Traffic Mess

WALTHAM (WBZ) ― A truck accident on Route 128 North in Waltham created a traffic mess for commuters Wednesday morning.

The accident involved two trucks and happened by Route 20.

There were only minor injuries, but the crash caused a fuel spill that shut down part of the highway.

The truck crash caused a second accident that involved three cars, state police said. A girl was injured in the crash and taken to Newton-Wellesley Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Traffic was a disaster on several roadways this morning because of the crash.

According to WBZ's Rich Kirkland, at 9 a.m. it took commuters on 128 North an hour-and-a-half to drive from Canton to Waltham.

It took drivers on the Mass. Pike East an hour to get from Natick to Weston at 9 a.m. this morning.
