Crash Shuts Down Route 128

WENHAM (WBZ) ― Route 128 was shut down in both directions during the morning rush hour Tuesday after a vehicle rolled over and crashed.

The SUV was travelling in the northbound lanes around 6:30 a.m. when it flipped on its side near Grape Vine Road (Exit 17) in Wenham.

WBZ's Rich Kirkland said one person was ejected.

State Police shut down the southbound lanes for a short time so a Med-Flight helicopter could land on the highway.
 
The northbound side was closed for more than 30 minutes, until one lane was re-opened to traffic.

The victim's condition is unknown.
