Fallen Power Lines Shut Down Part Of 128
NEEDHAM (WBZ) ―
Both sides of Route 128 were shut down briefly in Needham Saturday after power lines fell down across the highway.
It happened around 3 p.m. near Great Plain Avenue.
State Police told WBZ no one was hurt.
Two cars hit the wires, but were not damaged.
Traffic was detoured onto Highland Avenue for about half-an-hour until the lines were removed.
It's not clear what caused the lines to come down, but strong winds caused scattered power outages around New England Saturday.
