Driver Accused Of Hitting Bullock Pleads Guilty

GLOUCESTER (WBZ) ― The Gloucester woman accused of hitting Sandra Bullock and husband Jesse James' SUV last month has pleaded guilty to drunken driving charges, state police said.

Lucile Gatchell, 64, has been placed on probation for a year and is required to complete an alcohol safety program. She will also lose her license for 60 days.

Police say Gatchell was driving drunk when she veered out of the lane she was driving in and hit Bullock and James' SUV head-on.

No one was injured in the crash, including Gatchell.

Bullock is in the Cape Ann area filming the romantic comedy, "The Proposal."
