ARLINGTON (WBZ) ― A local senator is accused of assaulting a woman over the weekend.

According to police in Arlington, state Sen. James Marzilli allegedly assaulted a woman Sunday morning. No other details were provided about the incident.

No charges have been filed. Marzilli's attorney, Terrence Kennedy said in a statement his client has done nothing wrong and would be exonerated.
