Snow Could Make Messy Evening Commute

BOSTON (WBZ) ― For the third Thursday this month there will be snow, but it will not be as bad as the last two storms.

WBZ meteorologist Ken Barlow says the Boston area will get a coating to an inch this evening.

Northern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire should see between one-and-two inches.

Northern New England will likely see the highest amounts, with two-to-four inches.

It's not likely that Boston will tie or break the all-time record for most snow in the city in the month of December.

So far, there have been 26.9 inches of snow this month, one inch less than the record 27.9 set in 1970.
