Saturday Night Snow Storm Shifts North Slightly
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
There has been a slight change in a Saturday night snow storm's forecast.
WBZ meteorologists say the storm's track has shifted north slightly, which means the highest snow totals will be north of the MassPike and into Southern New Hampshire.
The shift may be good news for Bostonians. The orgininal forecast predicted 6 to 10 inches of snow. Because of the shift, Boston and the areas south of the city could see more like 3 to 6 inches.
There will be a mix of sleet and rain that will work into the Cape, Islands and South Shore.
It's coming Saturday night. A
winter storm warning is in effect from Saturday at 6 p.m. through noon Sunday.
WBZ meteorologists say it will be a light, fluffy snow, but some towns to the north could get up to 10 inches in this storm.

TIMELINE
WBZ meteorologists say the timeline of the storm remains the same.
The snow will start falling late early Saturday evening.
It may become heavy at times overnight, especially north of the Massachusetts Turnpike.
It will end with flurries Sunday sometime between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m.
ACCUMULATIONS
Three to 6 inches of snow are expected from Boston to Worcester and across southeastern Massachusetts.
The Cape and Islands could see even less with about 1 to 3 inches.
Communities north of the Turnpike should see 6 to 10 inches, while northern New Hampshire will likely get at least 3 to 6 inches.
The high Sunday will be 28 degrees.
WATCH OUT FOR ICY ROADS
With temperatures hovering around the mid-20s, motorists are cautioned to drive slow since snow is expected to freeze, making driving conditions difficult. Warmer temperatures after midnight may create a mixture of sleet and freezing rain in southern Massachusetts.
