Women Warned About Southie Mugger

SOUTH BOSTON (WBZ) ― Police are trying to track down a man wanted for mugging women in South Boston the last three weeks.

Investigators say he was caught on camera recently using an ATM card stolen from one victim.

The three unarmed robberies have taken place since October 22.

In every case, the man was described as white, in his early twenties, just under six feet tall with a medium build.

The robberies happened between 7 and 11 p.m.

Here is a breakdown of each incident from Boston Police:

Incident 3:

At about 10:09 p.m., on Wednesday, November 4, officers responded to a radio call for an unarmed robbery in the area of K and E 8th Streets.

According to the victim, she was walking home when the suspect (described as a white male with brown hair, in his early 20's, approximately 5'11", medium build, wearing a blue ¾ length jacket) approached her, knocked her down and grabbed her pocketbook. The victim says she then observed the suspect enter a black vehicle which fled down I Street in the direction of E. Broadway.


Incident 2:

At about 10:30 p.m., on Saturday, October 24, officers responded to a radio call for an unarmed robbery in the area of O and E 7th Streets.

On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that she had just exited a cab when the suspect (described as a white male, approximately 5'11" in height) approached her, knocked her down and stole her purse.

One day later, on Sunday, October 25, the victim's bank card, which was stolen the day before, was used by the suspect at the Mt. Washington Bank at 470 W Broadway.


Incident 1:

At about 7:41 p.m., on Thursday, October 22, officers responded to a radio call for an unarmed robbery in the area of P and E 4th Streets.

On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that she was waiting for a bus when the suspect (described as white male, in his late teens or early twenties, approximately 6 feet in height, wearing a blue Patriots sweatshirt and a black hat) approached, knocked her down and stole her purse. The victim states she had an iPod in her purse.
