Hazmat crews were called to the scene of an oil spill Thursday evening after a truck rolled over onto the roadway at Congress and D streets in South Boston.

The driver of the tractor trailer escaped safely and was treated for minor injuries on scene.

Hazmat crews were working to clean up oil that had spilled from the vehicle.

It's unknown what caused the truck to rollover.

Traffic was hindered for a time as crews worked to roll the truck upright and remove it from the roadway.
