New Look For New England Institution

BOSTON (WBZ) ― The region's oldest grocery store chain is getting a new look.

Quincy-based Stop & Shop has gotten rid of the red and green light logo to make way for a sign with a little more color.

The store said the sign change is part of the many modifications Stop & Shop hopes will make shopping easier and quicker for their customers.

These changes include scanning items as you shop, weighing and pricing produce yourself and creating kid-friendly isles that are free of candy and tabloid magazines.
