An armed standoff in Swansea ended safely early Wednesday morning.

Police were called to a home on Old Providence Road just after 11 p.m. to look into a report that someone may have been locked in the trunk of a vehicle.

Officers were confronted by a man with a shotgun. The man, later identified as 56-year-old Mario Andreozzi, was tasered and arrested.

Police say Andreozzi's 19-year-old son Anthony then took the shotgun back into the house.

After a two-hour standoff, everyone in the house was safely removed without incident.

Anthony Andreozzi and 21-year-old Gina Andreozzi were also arrested.
