T Driver Accused Of Having Kids Behind Wheel

BOSTON (AP) ― The MBTA is investigating a subway trolley operator who was photographed by a passenger with his son and nephew next to him as he was driving.

Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority spokesman Joe Pesaturo says it is "clear" that T rules were violated and that the driver, whose name was not made public, faces suspension.

The incident came to the T's attention after a passenger posted the photographs on craigslist.org, claiming that the driver was operating an outbound Green Line trolley at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 1.

Pesaturo tells the Boston Herald that the driver has worked for the agency for seven years and was suspended for three days last year for using a cell phone on the job.
