Meyer's Friends Plead Guilty To Underage Drinking
ATTLEBORO (WBZ) ―
Fourteen of Taylor Meyer's fellow students faced a judge Wednesday and admitted to underage drinking the night the teenage girl died after wandering off from a party.
Seventeen-year-old Meyer drowned after leaving the party she had been drinking alcohol at last October.
Her body was found in a nearby swamp.
On Wednesday, her mother, Kathi Meyer, sat silently in court as her daughter's friends learned their punishment.
In a plea deal, the teens' records will be wiped clean if they complete 16 hours of community service and attend five alcohol anonymous meetings by June 30.
Two other teenagers are
facing charges of bringing the alcohol to the party.
