Teen Girl Dead; Other Hurt In Attleboro Tree Crash

ATTLEBORO (WBZ) ― A 17-year-old girl was killed and a 16-year-old boy was hurt when the car they were riding in smashed into a tree Friday night in Attleboro.

The wreck happened in the area of 34 Oak Hill Ave., near Route 37 around 11 p.m. Attleboro police said the car smashed into a tee. The girl was pronounced dead at the scene and the boy was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital with head injuries. His condition was unknown Saturday.

Names have not been released pending family notification.

The crash is under investigation.
