The Tom Brady knee injury-surgery-infection saga has quietly launched something most people weren't aware of.
He now has his own
web site.
The first public word of it came Saturday, October 18, when Brady issued a statement on the site confirming he had surgery October 6 and that he had an infection afterwards.
We're still waiting to hear back from Brady, or the site's webmaster, for more on who's publishing the material - which includes video, photos, information on his favorite charities, a timeline of his career, wallpaper for your desktop, buddy icons and a gadget.
He's even created his own logo merging TB and his number 12.
Based on research, it appears the site started generating traffic in September and began registering significant page views around October 15th. The domain was created in 2001 and was dormant for years. It's not clear when Brady actually bought it though.
The
Patriots are aware of it - and have been for awhile. Spokesman Stacey James told WBZ there was a posting on the site from Brady just after the Super Bowl.
But the site hasn't gotten any media attention until now.
Brady has posted several pictures from his personal collection: golfing with President Clinton, meeting President Bush at the White House, a family vacation in Minnesota, attending the Kentucky Derby with Peyton Manning, college photos, and yes, pictures from his childhood - including one with ice cream on his head.
There are also video clips of Brady playing in high school, college and with the Patriots.
He even has a link to his own
YouTube page.
For those of you looking for personal information about his son, his girlfriend, or past relationships - forget it. There's nothing there.
The site does not have a blog, such as the ones
Curt Schilling and the Redskins'
Chris Cooley have. But there is a section called "The Insider" where Brady posted his first statement that may be a blog in the works.
