EPSOM, N.H. (AP) ― Debris from severe storms that demolished houses in New Hampshire on Thursday may pose a danger to boaters this weekend.

Epsom Fire Chief Stewart Yeaton said Friday he's concerned there is so much debris in the lakes that boaters and jet skiers could get hurt. He is contacting the state Marine Patrol to see what can be done to clean it up.

Yeaton also is concerned about people getting hurt cleaning up around their homes, especially anyone inexperienced using chain saws near power lines. Yeaton is cautioning people with generators to vent the exhaust which contains carbon monoxide.
