Jobs Lost As Tweeter Abruptly Closes Doors
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
The owners of the major retail electronics store,
Tweeter, suddenly closed the doors to all of the company's 70 stores nationwide, leaving hundreds of employees out of work.
The bankrupt company was scheduled to close in a few days, but the owners closed shop abruptly on Tuesday leaving some 150 employees at the store in Boston without a job, the
Boston Globe reported Tuesday night.
Some customers were unable to pick up merchandise they had ordered, WBZ learned.
The Attorney General's Office is investigating the situation.
