A man is under arrest and charged with having thousands of dollars worth of cocaine in the van he was driving through Wakefield.
The man, who gave a fake name during his arraignment, was pulled over around 3 p.m. on Tuesday. Police stopped the suspect on Salem Street and ordered him out of the van he was driving.
Police said they notice white baggies inside the car. Officers then conducted a search of the van and found a hidden compartment that allegedly contained a Tupperware container filled with cocaine.
According to police, they recovered 231.8 grams of cocaine, which has a street value of over $15,000.
