Boy Who Survived CO Scare Out Of Hospital

LUNENBURG, Mass. (WBZ) ― The 11-year-old boy who survived a carbon monoxide scare in Lunenburg Friday night has been released from the hospital, according to the Worcester District Attorney's Office.

Jobanny Matias of Leominster was rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital Friday after he and Alejandro Thomasian, 9, of Fitchburg, were found unconscious in a running Jeep.

Thomasian died Sunday.

Matias and Thomasian were four-wheeling with their fathers and a third adult Friday night when one of the vehicles got stuck.

The children stayed in the Jeep to keep warm and were later found unconscious. The Jeep was stuck in mud and partially submerged in water.

Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early says an investigation by his office and local police is continuing.
