Teen Expelled After Cell Phone Video Fight

HOLDEN, Mass. (WBZ) ― One of the teenagers charged in a brutal fight captured on cell phone video has been expelled from Wachusett Regional High School.

The school committee voted to expel the unidentified 15-year-old freshman from the regional school system after a disciplinary hearing Tuesday night.

The superintendent's office will review his case in September 2009 for possible reinstatement.

Three teens were charged in the April 14 fight. Several boys beat a Wachusett Regional High School student and another teenager who tried to help him. It was recorded on a cell phone and posted on the Internet.

A 16-year-old student is still waiting for his expulsion hearing.

Brendan Simpson, 17, of Worcester is the third teen charged in the brawl. He does not attend school.
