Missing Ex-Boyfriend Suspect In Woman's Murder

CLINTON (WBZ) ― A 23-year-old woman is dead and now police in Clinton are looking for the suspect – her ex-boyfriend.

Giselle Rodriguez, a former Fitchburg State College student, was found dead at 1 Coolidge Place shortly before 11 a.m. on Monday.

She was discovered by police after a family member asked them to perform a wellness check.

The Worcester District Attorney's Office would not say how Rodriguez died. "This was a tragic case of domestic violence," said D.A. Joseph Early. "She hadn't been seen over a period of a couple of days."

Now police are looking for her ex-boyfriend, Alexander Skowran, 22 – a senior at Fitchburg State.

Skowran's neighbor tells WBZ's Eileen Curran that she last saw him a week ago. "His probation officer came looking for him and they left their card. It fell on the ground, so I taped it to his door so he's know and he just took it, looked at it and walked away.

Rodriguez did have an active restraining order out against Skowran. Officials say Skowran had been ordered to stay away from Rodriquez in March after he was accused of breaking into her apartment and pouring bleach on her clothes.

Officials are now looking for Skowran. He is said to be driving a black 2003 Honda Accord with Maryland plates.

Skowran is originally from Pasadena, Md.
