Homeless Man Killed In Worcester Fire
WORCESTER (WBZ) ―
A man was killed in a violent fire in Worcester overnight, Worcester fire officials said.
Officials said the third alarm fire broke out around 1 a.m. Saturday in a vacant building on Main Street, and they believe a homeless man who had been staying inside was killed.
Firefighters tried to get into the burning building to rescue the man but were driven back by flames. The man's name has not been released.
Crews will be on scene Saturday trying to determine the cause of the deadly fire.
