Teen Mother Charged With Baby's Death

WORCESTER (WBZ) ― A 16-year-old mother has been charged with the death of her 1-year-old child.

Police say emergency crews were called to 3 Henderson Ave. in Worcester Sunday morning. When they arrived, the found the baby was not breathing and appeared to have suffered from respiratory and cardiac arrest.

The 1-year-old was rushed to St. Vincent's Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

A short time later, the baby's 16-year-old mother was arrested and charged with murder. Her name is being withheld because she is a juvenile.

The teen will be arraigned in Central District Court on Tuesday.
