Black Friday Gets Early Start In Wrentham
WRENTHAM (WBZ) ―
Cars were lining up in Wrentham before the Turkey was even digested. The Premium Outlets open at midnight Thanksgiving -- the earliest possible start to Black Friday.
At the start of a shopping season that's expected to be less than profitable, stores are banking on sales.
"I have three little kids," one shopper told us. "The economy the way it is, and my job just had a big lay-off, so it's worth it to save a dollar."
Certain stores are offering discounts only from midnight until 7 a.m. or 8 a.m.
Customers lined up cars into the streets of Wrentham. To prevent traffic problems, police allowed cars to enter the parking lot earlier than in past years.
