Accused Yarmouth Stalker Set Free On Bail
YARMOUTH (WBZ) ―
A Yarmouth man accused of stalking several families and businesses was released on $1,500 bail Friday.
39-year-old Timothy Gaskill is charged with stalking, destruction of property and tagging in Yarmouth and Dennis since November 2007.
He was arrested Thursday and arraigned Friday in Barnstable District Court.
Police said Gaskill targeted six families and two businesses.
He allegedly spray painted buildings, mailboxes and vehicles, slashed tires, dumped nails in driveways and left threatening notes.
The estimated cost of the damage is $40,000.
Investigators say they caught Gaskill because he attached a GPS tracking device to one of his victim's vehicles.
They were able to trace the serial number on it back to Gaskill.
Authorities say they have no idea what motivated him.
One victim who attended the arraignment told WBZ's Bill Shields that Gaskill "needs help."
