Researchers Investigate Effects Of Yoga On Kids
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
Researchers at the Harvard Medical School are interested in learning the effects yoga might have on schoolchildren.
Sat Bir Khalsa, a Harvard researcher is already offering an eight-week course to middle schoolers in four Massachusetts districts. He says the yoga should help reduce stress and depression among young people.
Brookline High School already offers yoga for grades 10, 11 and 12. Several other school districts, including Needham, offer yoga as part of their physical education course.
