Patriots Tickets On Sale Wednesday
FOXBOROUGH (WBZ) ―
What's a diehard Patriots fan, without tickets to this Sunday's AFC Championship to do?
Easy, cross your fingers and be by a phone or computer on Wednesday morning.
That's when a limited number of tickets to this Sunday's game between the New England Patriots and San Diego Chargers go on sale via Ticketmaster.
Tickets go on sale only at 9 a.m. Wednesday on Ticketmaster's website: www.ticketmaster.com or by phone. The phone numbers vary by area code, in the Boston area its either (617) 931-2222, or (508) 931-2222.
For all of you thinking you'll just camp out at Gillette Stadium in hopes of getting tickets; they will not be sold there.
Ticket prices aren't cheap either, and you'll need a Visa credit card to buy any.
Ticket prices are set by the NFL are available in four price categories: $100, $125, $140, and $179. There is a two ticket limit per person.
You'll need a Visa credit card to buy them, because as an official sponsor of the league, that's the only form of payment Ticketmaster is accepting.
Keep in mind there will be only a limited amount of tickets and they're expected to sell out fast. Patriots' season ticket holders have already had their chance to buy playoff tickets, as have those fans of the team's season ticket waiting list.
This is the third time the Patriots will be hosting the AFC Championship game; and the second time in four years that Gillette Stadium will host the game.
Since Gillette Stadium opened in 2002, the Pats have hosted six playoff games and have yet to lose, so keep your fingers crossed.
If you're one of the thousands of Patriots fans who don't happen to get tickets to the game don't worry, WBZ-TV, the official playoff station of the New England Patriots has you covered.
It all kicks off with AFC Championship Previews Friday night at 7 on WBZ-TV and 9:30 on TV-38.
You can double your pleasure with an hour long AFC Championship Previews Saturday night at 7 on WBZ-TV.
A special 90 minute Patriots Gameday will set the stage for the Patriots vs. Chargers Sunday morning at 11:30.
Then its a special NFL Championship Chase at 1 p.m., followed by the NFL Today at 2 p.m. leading up the AFC Championship game at 3 p.m. all on WBZ-TV.
Patriots 5th Quarter will air following the game on TV-38 for all the highlights, analysis and post-game reaction. Remember its the only local station where you can see live coverage of Tom brady and Bill Belichick's postgame news conferences.
Sports Final will put a nice big bow on the day by wrapping everything up at 11:30 p.m. Sunday night.
