Cow With 'Old Man Of The Mountain' Markings Dies

FRANCONIA, N.H. (WBZ) ― Members of the White Mountain Animal League are mourning the death of Bossie, a cow who became a minor celebrity due to her markings that resembled New Hampshire's famed Old Man of the Mountain.

Bossie was put down a week ago because she was suffering from arthritis and cancer.

For years, she was a frequent spectacle at parades and public events, promoting the animal league's efforts to increase spaying and neutering of pets.
