Republican Pays Tribute To Kennedy Through Song

BOSTON (WBZ) ― A conservative Utah Republican has crossed party lines, and has written a song for liberal lion Ted Kennedy, who was recently diagnosed with brain cancer.

Orrin Hatch created the song for Kennedy, which could be performed at this year's Democratic Presidential Convention. The song is called "Headed Home," and talks about Kennedy's return to the senate after undergoing brain surgery.

Despite the difference in parties, Hatch and Kennedy are friends. Kennedy said he loves hatch like a brother.

Other songs Hatch has written in honor of his country include "I Love Old Glory," and "Freedom's Light."
