Sen. Kennedy's funeral Mass will be Saturday morning at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Basilica, also known as The Mission Church, on Boston's Mission Hill.

Sen. Ted Kennedy will lie in repose in Boston before being laid to rest near his slain brothers at Arlington National Cemetery.
Edward M. Kennedy will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery where an eternal flame marks the graves of four Kennedy family members, including the former president, Jacqueline Kennedy, their baby son, Patrick, who died after two days, and a still-born child. Former Sen. Robert F. Kennedy is buried a short distance away.
PUBLIC VISITATION
Sen. Kennedy's body will be taken by motorcade from Cape Cod to Boston on Thursday afternoon. The casket, accompanied by the family, will be carried into the John F. Kennedy Library on Columbia Point, through its main entrance. Upon arrival, his body will lie in repose.
Public visiting hours will be held at the library both Thursday and Friday. Visiting hours for Thursday will be from 6 to 11 p.m. Friday public visiting hours run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
PRIVATE MEMORIAL & FUNERAL
A private, invitation-only service will be held at the library on Friday evening at 7 p.m., followed by a private Catholic funeral Mass Saturday morning at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Basilica in Mission Hill. The church is where Sen. Kennedy prayed daily while his daughter, Kara, successfully battled her own cancer.
While not open to the public, both the memorial service and funeral will have media cameras inside, and WBZ-TV and wbztv.com will have live coverage.
A White House official, speaking under condition of anonymity, said President Obama will give a eulogy at Saturday's funeral.
After the service, the senator's casket will be taken to Logan Airport and flown to the nation's capital, where he will be laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery in a 5 p.m. service.

FRIDAY
In Repose at JFK Library - 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Private memorial service - 7 p.m.

Private funeral at Mission Church - 10 a.m.
Burial at Arlington National Cemetery - 5 p.m.
On Wednesday President Obama issued a presidential proclamation ordering the flags on all U.S. public building be flown at half-staff in Kennedy's honor, until sunset on Sunday, Aug. 30.
Condolence books have been set out at the JFK Library as well as John F. Kennedy Museum in Hyannis.
In lieu of flowers, the Kennedy family has requested that the public consider making a donation to the
Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the U.S. Senate. The Institute is being built on the campus of UMass Boston, adjacent to the JFK Museum on Columbia Point.
