Despite reports that Sen. Ted Kennedy is returning to work full time this summer, his office says his condition has not changed, and it's too soon to determine if he will be back in June.
The Hill reported Tuesday that Majority Leader Sen. Harry Reid said Kennedy is expected to return to work in June. Reid's office later said he's going to leave Kennedy's diagnosis to the doctors.
Reid said he recently spoke with Kennedy's wife, Vicki, and learned that the senator, who has been
battling brain cancer for the past year, is going to undergo another treatment but that he's doing well.
"He's doing fine. He's going through another regimen of treatment, which he is not unusual," Reid said. "This is something that was expected. He wanted to have the treatment next week. They had to move it up a week, as I understand it."
Kennedy was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in May 2008 after suffering a seizure at his Cape Cod home. He underwent surgery a month later and then began radiation and chemotherapy treatments.
Reid said Kennedy is planning to return to the Senate full time in June,
thehill.com reported. However, Kennedy's office said while the senator would love to be back at work full time, there's no way of knowing how he'll feel in June.

Kennedy's Cancer Battle
Sen. Kennedy has made very few public appearances since he's been treated for brain cancer and has been largely absent from the chamber for the past year.
The Massachusetts Democrat chairs the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee and has been a leading advocate for health care for all.
He has championed health care reform for decades and hopes to work with Obama and Democrats who control Congress to forge a breakthrough in coming months.
Some say he is trying to get a bill through Congress before the August recess.
