Senator Ted Kennedy is using videoconferencing to keep in touch with colleagues on Capitol Hill and continue his push for national health care legislation.
From his home in Hyannis Port, the Massachusetts Democrat met via teleconference today with nine lawmakers who serve with him on the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee.
Senator Jack Reed of Rhode Island said Kennedy urged committee members to work together on health care reform. Reed described Kennedy as looking good and in good spirits.
The 76-year-old Kennedy plans to work from his Cape Cod home this fall and return to the Senate in January.
He had surgery followed by chemotherapy and radiation after being diagnosed with a
malignant brain tumor in May.
