Project Mass: Global Warming

Series of Special Reports Airing This Week on WBZ-TV News at 6PM

This week on WBZ-TV, watch PROJECT MASS: GLOBAL WARMING, an exclusive series of special reports dedicated to the topic of global warming. As part of WBZ-TV's Project Mass commitment, meteorologists Ken Barlow and Mish Michaels lead the way with local coverage of the global issue, with reports airing in WBZ-TV News at 6PM all week long.

Global warming is a term that is heard often, and a topic that has spurred filmmakers, artists, politicians, engineers, and celebrities to action. As concern about global warming grows among Americans, WBZ-TV presents PROJECT MASS: GLOBAL WARMING, a series of reports that cover multiple angles of global warming, including where Boston stands in the green building boom, clean technologies, how local politicians are responding, the latest experiments, and ways to help stop climate change.

Tonight on WBZ-TV News at 6PM, anchor Lisa Hughes sits down with Congressman Ed Markey, who has been put in charge of the very first congressional committee for global warming. Also coming up this week are the following topics:

Monday, April 23 - Lisa Hughes interviews Congressman Ed Markey about the first congressional committee on global warming.

Tuesday, April 24 – Ken Barlow reports on how Massachusetts is leading the way in developing clean energy technologies.

Wednesday, April 25 – Mish Michaels features an innovative school program that teaches students about climate change.

Thursday – April 26 – Learn about a climate change experiment in Waltham with Ken Barlow.

Friday – April 27 – Mish talks about the green building boom and where Boston stands in this trend.
