Todd Gutner Joins The WBZ-TV Weather Team

Todd Gutner has been hired as a meteorologist for the WBZ-TV Weather Team and is assigned to the weekend newscasts at 6PM and 11PM with Dawn Hasbrouck and Ken MacLeod; it was announced today by WBZ-TV and TV38 News Director Jeff Kiernan. Gutner's first day at WBZ-TV will be Monday, October 29, and his first day on-air will be Saturday, November 3.
"Todd will be a great addition to our weather team," Kiernan said. "Todd is a native New Englander and is very familiar with our region's ever-changing weather. He has the experience to provide our viewers with accurate and comprehensive forecasts."
"Working and living in Boston is a dream come true for me," Gutner said. "I am a fan of the city, the people, and the sports. It is an honor to join the outstanding team of professionals at WBZ-TV. This is the start of an exciting new chapter in my life!"
Gutner joins WBZ-TV from WCSH-TV (NBC) in Portland, ME and sister station WLBZ-TV (NBC) in Bangor, ME where he served as weekend meteorologist for the 6PM and 11PM newscasts. He was also meteorologist for the Monday-Wednesday noon newscasts on both stations. In addition, Gutner served as meteorologist on the weekend 10PM newscasts on WPXT-TV (CW) in Westbrook, ME. Before he came to Maine, Gutner began his career as a meteorologist at KGO-TV in San Francisco, CA as a weather producer.
Gutner holds a degree in meteorology from the State University of New York at Oneonta. He was born and raised in West Hartford, CT, and is a self-proclaimed "Red Sox fanatic."
Boston's WBZ-TV and TV38 (WSBK) are owned and operated by CBS Television Stations, one of the largest network-owned groups.
