WBZ-TV and
Children's Hospital Boston have expanded their nearly 25-year Programming and
Public Service partnership by transitioning the December Children's Hospital Boston's
Telethon into a year-round campaign titled WBZ 4 Kids. WBZ News features,
reported by WBZ-TV's Lisa Hughes, highlight inspirational patient stories and
Children's Hospital's innovative pediatric care and research. This year on
Thursday, December 20, WBZ-TV will support the important work of Children's
Hospital with a fundraising day. WBZ-TV will cut-away during all
newscasts for interviews at the hospital with Children's patients and
staff. WBZ-TV will solicit community support for the hospital by
encouraging viewers to make donations through wbztv.com and by phone,
1-888-630-KIDS.
