Cantaloupe, Ginger, Basil Smoothie with Toasted Wholegrain Bagel, Raw Nut Butter and Sliced Banana
Smoothie
Smoothie Ingredients:
1 ripe cantaloupe, cut into six wedges, remove skin, seeds and then cube
½ inch of ginger, peeled then diced finely
5 basil leaves torn in half
Ice Cubes
White Pepper Optional
Technique:- Place cubed cantaloupe into blender. Blend 30 seconds or until starting to liquidize.
- Add ice, basil leaves, minced ginger and a two turns of the peppermill (optional)
- Blend until smooth and liquidized. Pass through a coarse sieve if necessary.
Bagel
Bagel Ingredients:1 Multi-Whole Grain Bagel
As needed *Raw Nut Butter (Almond, Cashew, Hazelnut whatever you like)
1 Banana peeled and sliced
Technique:
- Toast Bagel.
- Spread raw nut butter on as desired.
- Cover with sliced banana
