Thunderstorms Spin Funnel Clouds In R.I.

Severe thunderstorms swept through Rhode Island and southeast Massachusetts Wednesday afternoon, spinning funnel clouds and bringing torrential rain and hail to surrounding areas.

The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning in Rhode Island and parts of southeast Massachusetts, and a funnel cloud was spotted over Barrington Beach.
