Tony Snow At The White House

Tony Snow, a conservative writer and commentator who cheerfully sparred with reporters in the White House briefing room during a stint as President Bush's press secretary, died July 12, 2008, of colon cancer. He was 53.

President George W. Bush walks arm-in-arm with Tony Snow on Sept. 14, 2007, in Washington, D.C. Snow died at 2 a.m. at Georgetown University Hospital, according to former employer Fox News. "America has lost a devoted public servant and a man of character," Bush said July 12 in a statement.
