Soaps Update

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

Cane sits with his mother, trying to convince her to makes amends with Kay, all the while, waiting for the results of the D.N.A. to come in. Meanwhile, Lily and Nina agree to call a truce for the sake of Kay's health. Moments later, Nina receives a call that the test results are in. Lily brings a copy of the DNA results to Cane and Jill to read just as Nina brings a copy for her and Kay to open. The results say that Cane is Jill's son and everyone takes off to celebrate, leaving Cane to call Langley. Meanwhile, a distraught Nina becomes determined to find Phillip's body and find out who he truly was. Jill stops by the Chancellor Estate with the news of the DNA for Kay but is caught off guard by Kay's harshness about Jill's anger during yesterday's fight. Meanwhile, Paul informs Nina that he learned from the lab there was something wrong with Cane's blood test.

At the hospital, Heather explains to Paul that she suspects Phyllis is responsible for Summer's medical condition. Meanwhile, Nick holds Phyllis as she breaks down at Summer's bedside. As Mary Jane remembers her past few months in Genoa City, she pulls out an old wedding invitation for Patty Williams and Jack Abbott revealing her true identity. Later, Paul stops by to ask Mary Jane some questions about Phyllis's involvement in Summer's accident, which only pushes MJ into further psychosis. At the hospital chapel, Victor encourages Nick to have the strength to fight for Summer. Later, as the family rallies around Nick and Phyllis, Paul hesitantly asks Nikki if there is even a chance that Phyllis could have had anything to do with Summer's accident. Nikki is stunned but doesn't believe for a second that Phyllis was involved. Heather and Gil arrive at the hospital and take Phyllis into custody. Meanwhile, Mary Jane has a dream of her past as she remembers Jack having an affair and the moment she tripped and lost her child because of it. As the dream progresses, Young Patty admits to Jack that she wants to die and he begs her to kill him so she turns the gun on him and shoots him three times. Meanwhile, Sharon continues to feel the weight of her lie as Jack starts making plans for the baby and the nursery. Later, Mary Jane wakes up from her dream more determined than ever to win Jack back at any cost.


AS THE WORLD TURNS

After her kiss with Hunter, Alison realizes that sleeping with him would be a big mistake. Casey finds Hunter and Alison together and remarks that she doesn't waste any time. Meanwhile, Emily confronts Larry about whether he knew Aurora Hunter. Larry's affected by news of Aurora's death, and by the fact that Hunter could be his son. Emily wants to know the truth, so she gets a sample of Larry's hair and Hunter's mug from work and has a DNA comparison done. Later, she tracks Hunter down and has to explain to him something before he's about to leave.

Carly and Rosanna have lunch. Rosanna has already ordered a bottle of champagne. Carly agrees to celebrate with it, but Craig sees and stops her. Rosanna thinks something is going on so she asks Parker about it, who evades and says that Carly's just tired. Craig asks Parker to be his best man, again. Rosanna finds vodka in Carly's spice cabinet but Carly says she'd hid it there, from the kids. They toast but Carly doesn't drink.


THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL

Ridge turns to the comfort of Taylor and their children after his painful break-up with Brooke. While grieving the loss of her relationship with Ridge, Brooke receives an unexpected thank you from Stephanie. During another run-in, Owen assures Bridget that he and Jackie will be gone by the end of the day. Later, Owen pleads with Jackie to marry him that night. Jackie's unsure of their speedy engagement.

GUIDING LIGHT

Lillian thinks Phillip should admit to his family that he's dying but Phillip doesn't want to share the bad news on the 4th of July. Rick is at the grill while Blake helps prep. Frank, Daisy, and moody Rafe show up with food and drinks. Bill and Lizzie arrive with games. James explains to Lillian that he doesn't want to miss his trip, but Lillian wants Beth to stop Alan from taking James. Lillian pretends to be Alan's assistant and informs the pilot that Alan is postponing his trip. Alan storms in and announces his trip was cancelled because the pilot took the day off. Phillip asks James if he wants to come to the BBQ but James says no. Phillip wants Daisy to convince James to join them at the BBQ. Everyone is excited to see Billy and Mindy arrive. Danny and Michelle get happy greetings from everyone. Lillian is tearful when she sees Phillip arrive. Daisy and James play video games as Daisy tries to convince him to come to the BBQ. Michelle gets Bill thinking about starting a family with Lizzie. Beth is thrilled to see Mindy. Billy takes a picture of the four musketeers: Mindy, Beth, Rick and Phillip.

Olivia is excited about her independence day and promises Emma that it's going to be a very special day for their family. Natalia, exhausted, picks up a pregnancy pamphlet and answers a call from Olivia. Olivia asks if Natalia is nervous about having the talk with Emma, and doesn't notice that Natalia is distracted. Natalia explains to Olivia she's running late and won't have time to talk to Emma beforehand. Meanwhile, Natalia sees a display of baby diapers and is overcome with emotion when she suddenly spots Frank. Frank informs Natalia that Rafe is at the BBQ and misses her. Natalia thanks Frank for being such a good man. Everyone notices how happy Olivia seems. Olivia thanks Frank for getting Rafe to come and says Natalia should arrive soon. Natalia admits to Father Ray that she's pregnant and starts to break down. James arrives and watches Phillip with Emma and Olivia. Natalia sees that Olivia is calling her and turns off her phone. Father Ray suggests that Natalia go away for awhile to figure things out. Olivia says she can't wait for tomorrow to come. Emma runs up to them and sweeps them into the party.
