July 7 - Daily Soaps Update

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."


THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

Cane manages to get gas for Chloe's car but as he is explaining what happened Chloe finds herself distracted by a momentary daydream of Cane.  Later, Cane runs into Chloe at the coffeehouse and she manipulates him into working with her. While discussing business, Brad picks up on the tension between Nikki and David.  David informs Brad that he left Nikki.  Meanwhile, Victor asks Victoria what is going on between Nikki and David.  Nikki isn't happy to learn that Jill didn't talk to her about making Lily the only Fresh Face of Jabot. Nikki wonders if Cane realizes what this could do to Lily and their relationship. Cane and Chloe drop by the magazine to talk to Nick and Jack.  Nick isn't happy to hear that Jack knew that Lily was the only Fresh Face now, and didn't mention it. Adam explains to Victor that Heather asked him to apologize to him but Victor remains convinced that Heather has an agenda.  Adam refuses to stop seeing her but agrees not to bring her to the ranch again. Skye returns to Genoa City and Heather sees her kiss Adam hello.  Later, Adam explains to Skye that he is seeing someone.  Victor bumps into David and gives him a warning regarding Nikki.  Brad meets with Skye to set David up. Amber and Adrian wake up together, hung over at Restless Style. Adrian and Amber agree to keep their night together a secret. Just as they are getting themselves together, Nick and Phyllis enter with a package for Amber from Daniel.  Amber talks to Daniel and he explains about the picture of the girl.  Phyllis finds Amber's camisole under a desk at Restless Style and becomes suspicious. Nick gets a call from Phillipe, Sabrina's ex from Paris and isn't happy to learn that Jack is looking for dirt on Sabrina. 

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL 

After Bridget gushes about her and Nick's engagement, Katie agrees to be the maid-of-honor and to plan the entire wedding.  Katie continues to suppress her feelings for Nick while putting on a happy face.  Steffy guides Marcus through a fun and flirty tour of the areas of Forrester Creations that not many know of.  Knowing deep down that Nick and Katie are lying to themselves about their feelings for each other, Jackie questions her son about his intentions to marryBridget. Nick unconvincingly assures Jackie that Bridget is everything he wants, for his son.

AS THE WORLD TURNS 

Mike's boss Neal shows up at the Snyder Farm. Carly arrives looking for Jack and Neal is immediately interested in her. Neal later inquires about her and a miserable Holden must confirm that she is single. Carly is a Java when Neal arrives and asks her out. She is perturbed to learn it was Holden who told Neal that Carly is available and she tells Neal that she is not interested in dating anyone. Carly storms over to Holden to accuse him of pimping her out and as they argue, Carly breaks down emotionally and Lily enters.

Janet and Jack wake up after a long and energetic night in bed and realize they've both forgotten to take their kids to work/school. Meanwhile, Parker and Liberty agree its weird that neither his dad nor her mom showed up and Liberty wonders if they could be together but Park vehemently denies. When Janet and Jack do arrive, Liberty senses the truth and calls Janet on it. When Liberty tells Parker, he freaks out and walks away.

Luke follows Noah to his Military Entrance Processing Station and tries to get him to delay or abandon his plan to enlist. Luke is in Noah's hotel room when recruiters enter and Luke proclaims he is Noah's boyfriend. When Noah denies, Luke reminds Noah what it took for him to be honest about himself and to remember his "True Colors." Later, when Noah goes for his final interview, he says he is gay but the staff sergeant warns him of their policy - "don't ask don't tell." Later, Luke is at home, telling Lily he couldn't convince Noah to come home and is devastated. Later, however, Noah returns home, saying he couldn't go through with it and the boys embrace.

GUIDING LIGHT

Dinah asks Olivia why the newlyweds are sleeping in separate rooms. Jeffrey tells Olivia he told Lizzie the baby wasn't Bill's, but points out he still married her so maybe he does love her. Alan tells Dinah he still wants his house and company back. Dinah tells Ashlee to do an
unflattering piece on the new Alan Spaulding. Alan looks at Ashlee, wary, as she tells him she comes in peace and wants to chat. Ashlee wants to talk more about his connection to Gus, as Lillian warns Dinah to watch out for Olivia. Alan tells Lillian he'll get the company back, but not the old way-Gus will lead them home.

Reva tells Josh that she and Jeffrey got unengaged, but they're still together. Jeffrey and Cassie head over to the screening with everyone else. On screen are the scenes of "Reva" dying of cancer in the hospital, "Josh" by her side; except the end twists in the favor of "Josh" telling "Reva" that "Cassie" was a mistake.  Reva swears to Josh that's not how the script was written. Cassie and Jeffrey walk into the middle of a heated Josh and Reva argument. Cassie covers, but later tells Josh she hated seeing Josh with Reva again. Josh tells Jeffrey the actress playing "Young Marah" was drinking champagne at the screening, and asks him to investigate anything else illegal on set because he wants the film shut down. Cassie makes it clear to Reva that Josh is with her.
