July 28 - Daily Soaps Update

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

Kay comes to offer Victor support and learns that Nikki was brought in on a drug overdose last night.  In the E.R., Nikki learns that David tried to kill her using morphine and yet she is still devastated that she lost David. Brad and Jill, still believe that Nikki is in I.C.U. and decide to hold a press conference to appoint an interim C.E.O. for Jabot.  Brad is furious when Jill informs him that he will not be named C.E.O. of Jabot.  Later, Jill holds a press conference to announce she is taking over Jabot. Paparazzi show Jack photos of Sabrina being removed from the limo after the crash and offer to sell them to Jack for a high price.  Outraged at first, Jack finally buys exclusive rights to the photos to keep them from being published elsewhere. Jack and Sharon battle with whether or not to send out a fourth printing of the magazine but later decide to green-light it. Victor informs Nick that he isn't wanted but Nick refuses to leave his father's side. Later, Neil arrives and Michael explains to both Nick and Neil that Sabrina was pregnant. Adam panics when he reads an article that Skye is missing.  Meanwhile, Victor asks Neil to take over for him at Newman Enterprises while he fights to save Sabrina. While, Paul, Nikki, J.T., Victoria, and Kay work out the events of the evening they learn that David killed Ji Min. Victoria realizes that if they had all made even one choice differently they could have prevented everything. Meanwhile, Sabrina tries to be strong for Victor but as they are talking about the future, Sabrina crashes.  Victor is glad to see Adam at the hospital.  While Victor and Michael consult with the liver specialist, Nick and Adam wait together.  Victoria and Nikki feel terrible when Kay informs them that Sabrina was pregnant.  The specialist explains to Michael that they won't give Sabrina a new liver because she won't survive long enough.  Nick refuses to allow them to inform Victor.

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL

Feeling defeated, Ridge informs Brooke that Donna has made the biggest mistake of her life by firing
him and his siblings.  Donna walks in on Owen in her bedroom, rummaging through her lingerie, which is on the floor.  Owen shows Donna a broken picture of her and Eric and claims that he was cleaning up after someone else had broken into the house.  Owen continues his ployto get Donna to completely trust him by making her believe that he is the only one on her side.  When Marcus explains to Steffy about his suspicions, they dig into Owen's past and learn some interesting information.

AS THE WORLD TURNS

Liberty admits to Janet that she had sex with Parker while Parker refuses to tell Jack anything. Brad tries to break into Liberty's computer to find out what she's up to until Katie takes it away from him and tells him he can't snoop. Janet and Liberty have a heart to heart and she sends her off to school. When Jack arrives, Janet unknowingly spills the beans. He is upset but Janet convinces him the kids won't do it again and he keeps the secret from Brad. At school, Liberty and Parker commiserate about the lectures they've been getting from their parents. They head home and start to make out. Meanwhile, Brad is with Katie, expressing his insecurities as a parent. He suddenly remembers he didn't turn Liberty's computer off and runs home, only to catch Parker unwrapping a condom.

Vienna tells Henry she wants to use the money he got from selling his shares back to Carly to glam up the diner. Henry tries to come up with an excuse but Vienna insists he should get at least some of the money right away. Henry goes to Katie and begs her to lend him some money. Katie advises he tell the truth instead but he balks and she gives in. Henry returns to Vienna and they are about to go shopping when he gets call to come into Metro for work. He lies to her and goes to work only to later get caught working. She walks out and Katie assures Henry that Vienna will be fine as Vienna cries and packs her bags.

GUIDING LIGHT

Jeffrey returns from dropping her off for treatment and goes into the hospital to see Max. Reva comforts Jeffrey who is overwhelmed with emotion for Ava and Max. Hawk interrupts Reva and Jeffrey while they are planning their wedding and tells them how he feels about them getting married. Hawk tells Reva that she should be marrying Josh instead. Jeffrey tells Reva he needs Daisy's testimony against Grady. Jeffrey asks Hawk for Reva's hand in marriage and Hawk slams the door in his face but
Jeffrey is able to bribe him to open the door with bourbon. Later, they bond over a bottle of bourbon while sharing stories about Reva. Reva calls Jeffrey and overhears Hawk call him 'son'.

Frank tells Buzz he had a bad trip and couldn't find Harley or Rafe. Daisy escapes from the cop who was assigned by her father to watch her. She climbs out through a bathroom window and runs into Ashlee. Grady finds Daisy in the park. Reva intervenes a secret meeting between Daisy and Grady. Reva makes Daisy question how well she knows Grady. Daisy and Ashlee make plans to live together but when Daisy confesses that she and Grady are still together, Ashlee says they cannot be roommates until he is gone. Reva warns Grady that she's getting through to Daisy and they exchange harsh words. Cyrus asks Buzz to get Marina off the case and later finds her day planner and goes through it.
