August 6 - Daily Soaps Update

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

Amber is shocked when Daniel explains to her that he can't go back to the way things were.  Amber shows Daniel mementos of the times they have shared together.  He tries to leave but Amber stops him. However, before things can progress they are interrupted by Adrian at the door. Adrian barges into the penthouse, ranting about his article on Sabrina being changed, before he realizes that he interrupted an intimate moment between Amber and Daniel.  Daniel and Amber say good-bye to one another. Victor is desperate to believe that Sabrina is healing. Jana accepts Sabrina's impending fate and assures her that she and the baby will be together in the after life. Dr. Pembrooke tests Sabrina's liver functions and both she and Sabrina are aware that the results aren't good.  Victor gives Sabrina a picture of the home he bought them in Paris. At Jabot, Jill saves Nikki from being accosted by reporters but then turns on Nikki, blaming her for bringing David into their lives. Nikki informs Kay that she is going to resign from Jabot and go be with her daughter.  Nick arrives to take Nikki home.  Meanwhile, Jill breaks down in her mother's arms. Jill is finally able to mourn and let go of Ji Min. Nikki exclaims to Nick that David killed Ji Min and that she refuses to grieve for such a monster.  Later, Nick brings Nikki to visit Athena, her horse, and forces her to talk about David.  Nikki allows herself to feel everything as she strokes her horse. Adam informs Heather that he believes David had a part in Skye's disappearance. Later, Paul finds out that they found a car in Louisiana that may have been Walter's and that he could be anywhere in the world by now. At the coffeehouse, Heather meets with the D.A. to explain to him everything she and Paul have learned about David. Heather decides to go back to work at the D.A.'s office.  Kevin announces to Jana that he doesn't want to wait any longer to get married.

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL

Bridget surprises Katie with a framed picture of her and Nick from their prom night together.  Katie and Nick exchange an enigmatic look after Bridget suggests they all revisit Catalina Island together.  Marcus confides in Brooke about his worries that Owen is manipulating Donna.  After being put on the spot by Marcus, Owen is forced to confess his feelings to Donna.  Donna is faced with a difficult decision.

AS THE WORLD TURNS

Brad leaves Liberty in Ugo's care and heads to work. Janet arrives and is appalled to find Liberty being held prisoner. She tries to take liberty out but Ugo blocks the door and calls Brad. Brad comes back and argues with Janet about what to do with Liberty. During the argument, Liberty takes advantage and sneaks out. Meanwhile, Carly gets Jack over to find out what's going on with Parker and is shocked to hear about the sex. She tries to talk to Parker but he insults her and storms off. Later, off a call from Liberty, Parker sneaks off to meet her at Java. But, before he can get there, Brad arrives and carries her off.

Against Holden's advice, Emma insists on inviting Lily and the kids to a barbeque. Faith suspects that something is wrong between Lily and Holden and runs off. Later, Carly arrives to drop of Sage for the barbeque and Lily lets loose on her. A returning Faith hears her mother's rant and runs off again. Luke follows her and commiserates. Holden tells Lily she's out of control and even though he deserves whatever she gives, the kids don't.  Lily says the only way for them to stop hurting each other is to call it quits and she leaves. When Emma tells Holden to go after her, he refuses. Upset Carly returns home and tells Jack everyone hates her and she doesn't blame them. Jack feels sorry for her and suggests she take Sage to Montana for a while until it all dies down.

Luke asks Noah to go with him to the farm for a family day that is doomed from the start. Noah sees how strained the situation is and offers to get an apartment with him. Luke says he would like that more than anything but now as his mother and sisters need him.

GUIDING LIGHT

Bill and Ava worry about their premature baby as it is rushed out of the room. Bill assures Ava that he will find out what is going on with Max. He prepares Ava to see Max but she is still hesitant to meet the baby. Ava and Bill see Max for the first time and Ava thinks fast as she knows she is going to have a lot of explaining to do. Bill tells Ava that no matter what he still wants to raise Max as his son and he still wants them to be a family. Bill holds Max's hand through the incubator glove. Bill tells Vanessa everything after she overheard him on the phone with the clinic and later sees Remy with flowers hugging Ava.

Gossip throughout the hospital swirls as the nurses find pictures of Bill and Lizzie on the internet. Dinah scolds the nurses for looking at the pictures. Dina plans on canceling Bill's meeting but finds that Alex has already taken it over. Dinah takes on her challenge to run the meeting and ends up landing the deal.

Remy regrets leaving Ava as Lizzie vows to get over Bill forever.  Remy returns to the hospital to check on Ava and Dinah gives him a hard time. Remy brings Ava flowers and goes to see the baby. He returns to the room where Bill and Ava are to confront them.

Lizzie goes to see the Governor with information on Bill. Lizzie covers their "sex scandal" by telling the Governor that it was all just a misunderstanding and taking the blame herself. Lizzie sees Bill and Ava share a close moment and turns away. Lizzie runs into Alex and they discuss her chance for a fresh start in LA.
