August 12 - Daily Soaps Update

Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."
THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS
Lily confides to Colleen that the DNA showed that Cane is the father of Chloe's baby.
At Indigo, Neil gives Tyra a framed photo of Devon and Ana singing together at the gala. Nearby, Chloe makes a beeline for Devon to inform him that the DNA test proves Cane is her baby's daddy. Chloe orders Devon to get her some food and on his way he runs into Neil.
Devon informs Neil that the baby is Cane's. Cane arrives at Indigo. Neil explains to him that Lily doesn't want to see him and that maybe he should focus on Chloe and the baby. Chloe approaches Michael with questions about paternity cases. Devon stops by Cane and Lily's house to check on Lily and runs into Cane.
Later, Lily comes home and encourages Cane to marry Chloe. Lily opens up to Cane and reminds him what it was like to grow up without his father. Nick and Adam butt heads when Nick decides to issue a $100,000 reward for information on Victor's whereabouts.
As Nick leaves, Nikki storms in to confront Adam. Nikki lays into Adam until he explains to her that the woman David killed was Skye and that Brad and Jill knew about David's gambling problem way before it was released to the press. Heather arrives at the ranch and sees how tense Adam is. Adam opens up to her about how Nick is treating him. Nikki confronts Brad about enabling David's gambling addiction.
As she is exiting, Nikki gives Jill Victoria's resignation and reminds Brad that as soon as his usefulness to Jill has run out she will turn on him too.
Michael receives a photo of his father but doesn't get his hopes up.
THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL
Marcus and Steffy find an opportunity to spend some time together without being seen by members of either of their families. Steffy plans a special evening for her and Marcus to mark a momentous occasion. Despite Ridge's intimidation, Owen becomes the voice of reason and is able to influence Donna's decision. Ridge realizes that he was premature in his actions and becomes grateful to Owen for making him realize this. As Owen comforts Donna, he makes an honest admission accompanied with an unexpected kiss.
AS THE WORLD TURNS Rick's hostage situation continues as he demands Margo get him a helicopter to fly him to safety. Emily tries to help Casey escape his restraints, which sets off a violent reaction in Rick. Despite Tom's heart attack, Margo holds out until Aaron drops into the room via a vent and Rick shoots him. Emily manages to help Tom. Chris tells Margo to let Rick go because he has already discovered the antidote. Margo does but Rick is able to grab Alison and take off.
Casey comforts Emily when she's despondent over Alison's abduction. Chris gives Bob the antidote to administer and follows Rick to the roof when he fights Rick and pulls Alison to safety. However, when he gets her back to her room, he learns they are out of the antidote, as Bob administered the last bit to Susan whom he found unconscious in Rick's lab. Emily comes to Susan to see she is alright and Susan learns the depth of Emily's feelings for Casey.
As Chris rushes off to make more, Alison has a near-death experience in which the people around her keep disappearing, except for Chris who takes her hand, just as he injects her with antidote. Alison wakes up and thanks Chris for saving her life. She recalls Aaron being injured and asks Chris to take her to see him. Later, Chris watches in on close Aaron, post-surgery and Alison together. Meg, who has also received the antidote, sits vigil with a relieved Paul in Aaron's room.
Emma arrives to see her grandson. When Meg is released, Paul invites Emma back to Fairwinds with them and she accepts. Later, Tom and Margo share romantic moments before and after his surgery to replace his collapsed stint. When Emily returns, Margo thanks her for helping Tom and tells her to be with her husband. Casey is happy his parents finally accept them but Emily has doubts.
GUIDING LIGHT
Billy attempts to interrupt Bill's strategy of distracting himself with work by suggesting they go to lunch but Bill insists he is too busy. When Billy leaves Bill opens his desk drawer where he keeps Max's hospital bracelet. Dinah enters the office frustrated at Bill for having to spend the night in a motel because he would not let her into the house. He tells her he is dropping the embezzlement charges and they go out to eat. At the restaurant, Bill informs Dinah that the house, stocks, bonds, and cash reserves are all no longer hers because he tricked her into signing it all over to him. Dinah is livid and storms out of the restaurant. Vanessa approaches Bill at Towers sitting by himself and they talk about Dinah. Vanessa pulls out a newspaper article about Max's death and Bill is touched.
While packing, Lizzie finds one of Peyton's outfits and gets emotional. She runs into Alan while doing laundry and they have a conversation about loss. Alan is in an excellent mood because of the outcome of the trial. He talks about how he will take over the company and be back on top in no time. Lizzie tells him she is going back to LA and Alan tries to convince her to stay. Later, Alan talks to Alex about how he truly believes Gus is guiding him. He feels that nothing can stand in his way. Lizzie goes to Billy and tells him that she has ordered a memorial statue for Max. She tells him she's going back to L.A. but he tells her he wants Bill and Lizzie back together.
Mallet surprises Marina with two concert tickets but Marina is still obsessing over Tammy's trial and does not want to go. They get into their first real argument. At Company, Marina vents to Buzz as Coop and Frank enter offering their advice. Dinah goes to see Mallet to give him back the money for bail she owes him and finds him fresh out of the shower. Mallet tells Dinah that Marina wasn't okay about him helping her. Marina returns to Mallet's motel room just as Dinah is leaving and Marina and Mallet share a passionate kiss. Marina informs Mallet that she is a secure woman and doesn't care about Dinah. They make love for the first time. Afterwards, they have a conversation about their feelings where Marina tells Mallet that she wanted to make sure he wouldn't walk out like Cyrus did.
Dinah receives a call from Vanessa informing her of the memorial for Max. Bill walks into the Spaulding study and sees the statue of Max and doesn't want it. He turns to leave but catches Lizzie in the doorway. Lizzie and Billy make short speeches at Max's memorial and Bill gives in and makes a speech, fighting back tears with Lizzie's support. After the memorial, Bill thanks Lizzie for the statue and he tells her not to go to L.A. He says he doesn't understand how she can live everyday knowing that Sarah is out there somewhere. Dinah, who decided not to go to the memorial, sees Alan at Towers. Alan puts the idea of working together to put Bill in his place out in the open but she is apprehensive at first.
