GUIDING LIGHT

The day of the trial for Tammy's murder arrives and everyone is tense. Jeffrey slips once again and says he is seeking justice for Ava instead of Tammy. Daisy and Grady see each other and she tells him that Jeffrey is making her testify against Grady. Cyrus is overwhelmed as he reads a file with everything from Grady's past in it. Josh and Cassie go to the trial together. Cyrus comforts Grady with a hug but is worried about the file. Beth intervenes with a woman who is trying to speak to Alan, he later finds out she is in the jury. Alan goes to Cyrus and Grady and tells them that he has rigged the jury and that they don't have to worry. Reva lectures Daisy to do the right thing on the witness stand. Jeffrey and the defending lawyer exchange words. Daisy is reminiscent on her relationship with Grady as she waits for her turn to testify. Jeffrey's opening statement is powerful and emotional but Alan catches his jury friend's eye and remains calm.

The defending lawyer, Dalton, gives his opening statement saying that Tammy's death was no one's fault. Daisy's emotions take over and she rushes away. Reva notices that one of the jurors looks familiar and realizes it was the woman that was talking to Alan earlier. Reva fools the juror that is on Alan's side into thinking she is worried about the outcome for Alan's sake and the juror reassures her that there is no need to worry. Reva scribbles a note to the Bailiff to give to Jeffrey. Jeffrey presents the car rental slip signed by Grady. When he reads Reva's note we see a look of shock on his face. Dalton brings attention to the hostility Frank holds against the Foleys while Frank is on the stand. Jeffrey outs the juror as one of Alan's followers and Grady states that he won't go down alone. Cyrus blames himself for the start he gave Grady, bouncing from home to home and he says that he is sorry for Tammy, as is Grady. Beth leaves the courtroom telling Alan that he needs to learn to put family first but he insists that everything will be ok. She picks up a card that reads "Justice".

Cassie testifies, recalling Grady admitted he was driving the car that hit Tammy when she first met him at the hospital the night Tammy died. Dalton twists the story around, implying that she is mentally unstable and she is only trying to seek closure for Tammy's death by sending an innocent person to jail. Cassie fires back by saying that no matter what the outcome of the trial is, she knows in her heart that Grady is guilty. Daisy wonders around thinking about Grady and ends up at Tammy's grave where she opens a card left there that reads "Justice".  Alan sees Daisy at Tammy's grave and they talk about the night she was hit. Daisy brings up Gus and Alan's attitude completely changes.
