August 11 - Daily Soaps Update

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

Nick brings Michael up to speed regarding Victor's disappearance and asserts that it is time to contact the F.B.I. Victor drinks alone in a Mexican bar, when a little girl asks him to play with her. Meanwhile, Nikki is about to take a drink as Victoria walks through the door. Nikki hides the drink and then listens as Victoria continues to blame herself for Victor's disappearance and Sabrina's death. Nikki assures Victoria that if Victor hates anyone it's her. Nick decides that he has to meet with the F.B.I., regardless of whether Adam wants him to or not.

Later, Adam announces to Nick and Michael that he is issuing a statement to the press about Victor's disappearance. The F.B.I. explains to Nick that they need to keep Victor's disappearance from the press.

Nick reaches Neil, and Neil stops the press conference but not before Adam informs the press that Victor is taking a leave of absence. Moments later, Victoria slaps Adam for his actions. Cane swears to Neil that he isn't the father of Chloe's baby.

Meanwhile, at the hospital, Chloe starts to panic when she believes that she is losing the baby. Later, Chloe is feeling sorry for herself, when Cane arrives and she does an about-face.

However, just as she is starting to believe he is there because he cares about her and the baby, Lily enters. Neil is at Cane and Lily's when the DNA results are delivered. Neil calls Lily to inform her but it goes straight to voicemail.

At the hospital, the doctor informs Cane, Lily and Chloe that the baby is doing better. When Chloe insults Cane and Lily, Lily replies that she needs to stay out of their lives. At the coffeehouse, Lily warns Amber not to get close to Chloe.

Lily is thrilled for Cane when he confides in her that he is going to be the new C.E.O. of Jabot. However, Cane and Lily are horrified when Cane's DNA can't be excluded from being the baby's father.


THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL

Katie and Marcus have a touching aunt/nephew afternoon of bonding as she gives him sound advice about having a relationship with a Forrester. Ridge is surprised by his own actions and has a difficult time forgiving himself. Ridge's siblings and Donna are appalled when Ridge admits to his mistake, but soon change their mind after hearing from Bridget. Owen arrives just in time to stop Donna from making an irrevocable decision.


AS THE WORLD TURNS

Margo discovers that Decker has poisoned those who have wronged him in the past. She wants him arrested but Paul and Barbara insists he is the only one who has the antidote. Margo ultimately agrees and sets up Decker in the hospital to begin making the antidote, with the stipulation he will be taken into custody immediately after. He quickly knocks out his police guard and comes upon Susan who is shocked to see him. Rick grabs her and tries to kiss her but she resists and upset, Rick injects her with a syringe and leaves her. At the same time, Margo has Barbara and Paul followed, realizing that they made a deal with Rick to save Meg in exchange for money and a helicopter. Just as Rick is about to take off with Paul who is flying the helicopter, Margo and cops arrive, frightening Rick and he escapes into the hospital. There he gathers all his victims at gun point, holding them hostage. Chris who has come up with the antidote, rushes to administer it to everyone, only to come face-to-face with gun toting Rick who is holding Alison, Meg, Tom, Casey and Emily. Rick laughs and swallows his own vial of antidote, revealing it's just water and that everyone will die. Margo and Paul rush in and are shocked to see the hostage situation. Paul lunges at Rick while Tom makes a move to grab Rick's gun and begins to suffer from a heart attack. Rick then tells a frightened Margo it's time to give him what he wants. Meanwhile, Aaron has snuck into the quarantined hospital on an ambulance and makes his way through a vent to try to reach everyone.


GUIDING LIGHT

Cassie leaves the courthouse after her testimony knowing that she did all she could for Tammy. When Josh finds Cassie at Tammy's grave, she asks him to get a divorce today so she can start fresh tomorrow. They start filing the paperwork and Mel questions why they are acting so quickly. Josh tells Cassie that he wants to remain RJ's adoptive father. He also tells her that he plans on pursuing Reva despite Jeffrey.

At Tammy's grave, Alan tells Daisy that he feels Gus' presence and tries to convince her to give Alan another chance. As Grady and Cyrus walk outside to take a break from Cassie's intense testimony, Grady says he wishes he never returned to Springfield. Reva tries to get a hold of Daisy for her to testify and Jeffrey threatens to charge her in contempt of court. Jeffrey bluffs and offers Grady a deal if Grady takes a plea but he refuses. Daisy arrives and Jeffrey begins to question Daisy on the stand. She identifies Grady as the driver of the car that hit Tammy. After being pressed by Jeffrey, Daisy finally breaks down and says that it was her fault that he hit Tammy. She tells the jury that she was on pills and getting sick, Grady was trying to help her and he lost control of the car. Jeffrey calls her a liar on the stand and brings up her history of breaking the law while Reva looks on in disbelief. After her testimony, Reva confronts Daisy about lying. Daisy explains to Reva how important it is to support Grady because he has been an outsider his whole life just like her. Later, the hearing has paid a toll on her and she breaks down in tears outside. As Cyrus sits on the witness stand, Jeffrey grills him on his history with the law. He assures the jury that Grady should not be punished for his mistakes and that Grady had a hard childhood. Jeffrey makes his closing statement. Cyrus and Grady sit nervously waiting for a verdict. The jury reaches a verdict and everyone returns back to the courtroom. As the verdict is announced, Cassie slips in the back of the room. The verdict is read, finding Grady not guilty. Cyrus sees a very upset Cassie rush out of the courtroom. Jeffrey is upset and leaves the courtroom and Josh shows up just as Reva tries to chase after him. Cassie brings flowers to Tammy's grave and apologizes for moving on as Cyrus watches from a distance.

Natalia learns from Frank that Rafe and Harley have moved to a different location. Alan tells Natalia that Gus saved him and she is disgusted that Gus would save Alan, and not protect Rafe. Alan convinces Natalia that he can help Rafe, Natalia leaves a voicemail for Rafe.
