August 21 - Daily Soaps Update

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

Gloria tries to find out how Kay feels about Cane's appointment as CEO and Kay realizes that Gloria is up to something. Later, Kay tells Gloria to let go of the past. Gloria tries to persuade Jack to pool his stock in Jabot with her and Jeff so that they can take control from Jill, Kay and Cane. Jack reminds her that Kay owns 51% of Jabot, which means Gloria needs to find a way to get Kay to relinquish a portion of her shares. Gloria tries to apologize to Kay for their argument, but she demands for Gloria to stay away from her.

While Nick and Phyllis discuss how to turn the tables on Jack, Jack insists to Sharon that he isn't making Gloria move out of the pool house. At Restless Style, Amber brags about Liam to Chloe. Daniel becomes more convinced that she made him up. Meanwhile, Nick and Phyllis look over the article she wrote airing Jack's dirty laundry. Later, Phyllis asks Amber for the keys to the penthouse and Daniel feels bad when he realizes she has no where else to go. Noah is uneasy when he and his friends are hanging out at the Newman pool when no one is home. Later, Nick catches Noah and his friends taking beers out of the fridge. After an encounter with Sharon, Phyllis alters the article on Jack to include Sharon's misdeeds as well.

As Sharon leaves to meet with Nick and Noah, Daniel pleads with Phyllis to let Amber stay in the penthouse. Sharon comes to Noah's defense with Nick goes off on Noah about the beer. Nick refuses to back down because of what happened with Cassie, but Sharon asks him not to shut her out. Phyllis gives Amber back the keys to the penthouse, just as she OKs the newest issue of Restless Style, with the article on Jack and Sharon, to go to the printers. Tyra learns that Ana is with Devon and that she knows the truth. Devon tries to comfort Ana but she is afraid of being Yolanda's daughter and admits to Devon that she doesn't want to be like him. Karen walks in as Neil is comforting Tyra. Neil asks Karen to stay and Tyra admits to Karen that Ana isn't her daughter. Karen is touched by Tyra's love for Ana. Tyra assures Ana that no one is ever going to take Ana from her.


THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL

Marcus tries to attack Owen again but is stopped when Lt. and Charlie Baker arrive to investigate the alleged crime. Beth sees a different side of Stephen when he demonstrates erratic and aggressive behavior when making reference to Eric. Just as Ridge and his siblings are about to leave to apologize to Donna, Brooke's news changes their minds. Stephanie and her children make their own accusations about the cause of Eric's heart attack.


AS THE WORLD TURNS

Lily and Holden fight because she asks him to stay with the kids when the babysitter cancels. Holden refuses to fill in while she dates Mike. The kids hear and are upset, so Holden finally tells Lily to go. Lily goes on her date but is distracted. Mike realizes she's still entangled with Holden and says he doesn't want to be the runner-up in Lily's love life. Later, Paul, getting pressure from Derek to get his money back, interrupts and asks Lily for a loan. Lily doesn't know what to do but Mike says he can't advise her because it would be a conflict of interest. Lily goes home and asks Holden, who tells her not to put money into the farm, even if it is for Emma. Lily thanks him for the advice and they decide that maybe they can treat each other civilly. They have a nice dinner together with the kids. Meanwhile, after getting rejected by Lily, Paul talks to Barbara who offers to give him the money, but he knows she can't afford it. Barbara advises him to tell Meg the truth. Paul is going to, but when he gets home, Meg has laid out a surprise to tell him she's pregnant and he can't bring himself to destroy the happy moment.

Margo is impressed by Emily's story and tells Casey to invite her to dinner. Then Margo goes to the station and finds Dani going through her files to compile crime statistics. Even though Dani has proper authorization, Margo kicks her out. Dani appeals to Emily who asks Casey to talk to his father. Tom comes to Margo and tells her she must let Dani look at the files. Margo is furious and storms over to Emily and Casey, saying she won't let Dani in unless the mayor is with her. After Margo goes, Emily fumes and tells Dani she'll handle it. She shows up at the station with Dani and the Mayor, and Margo has no choice but to let Dani work. Casey is impressed and wonders how Emily had such influence with the mayor, but she tells him not to go there.


GUIDING LIGHT

Remy goes to Olivia and learns that she is upset with him for telling Ava about the baby first. As he is trying to argue his case, Olivia is hit with a dizzy spell and admits to Remy that she has not had time for her follow up doctor appointments. Remy warns her that her health is at risk but she is not interested in his lecture. Later, after talking to Jeffrey and Marina, Remy decides to help Olivia even though they are currently at odds, on that he calls Rick to tell him Olivia has been skipping her doctor's appointments.

At the police station, Jeffrey gets wind that Alan has not been under 24 hour surveillance as he ordered. Jeffrey calls Marina to ask why Alan hasn't been tailed, and informs her that his whereabouts have been unknown for hours. Marina and Jeffrey search for Alan and all that is found is a train schedule. Jeffrey is afraid Alan may have skipped town and orders one of his officers to search the entire police database for Alan.

Ashlee arrives to Marina's room and is surprised to find Daisy there. Daisy admits that she misses her best friend and they decide to put their differences aside and have fun. While sharing gossip, Daisy lets out that Rafe is back in town. Ashlee hints that Daisy must be conflicted about her feelings between Rafe and Grady. Daisy tells her about the two meeting and assures her that she wants to be with Grady.

Natalia urges Rafe to go to Frank before anyone finds out that he is back in town. She learns that Rafe went to see Daisy first and feels hurt. Rafe stops Natalia from calling Frank, telling her that he just wants more time to be home. Olivia comes to the door and before Natalia can stop her she sees Rafe glaring back at her. Natalia takes Olivia outside and begs her not to tell anyone that Rafe is back. Olivia tells Natalia that she should just enjoy having Rafe back in her life and not stress out about the next step. Later, Olivia goes to Jeffrey seeking help for Natalia and Rafe. Olivia has another chest pain and explains to Jeffrey that ever since she has had Gus's heart, she has feelings of him trying to tell her something. She tells Jeffrey that nothing is going to bring Tammy back, but they can help someone else's child before it's too late. Meanwhile, Rafe calls Daisy and they make plans to meet in a private place. When Natalia comes back inside, she is disappointed to find and open window and Rafe gone. Daisy and Rafe meet and Rafe tells her that he doesn't care if anyone sees him he just wants to be with her. Natalia tells Mallet that Rafe is back. She wants Mallet to protect Rafe, even if it means arresting him.
